Bringing Home Stateside

Christina Ahsleen and her husband Jeff fell in love with the idea of raising their own stateside flock of Swedish Gotland sheep while on a family trip to their native Sweden in 2007. After vigorous research and help from Martin and Joy Dally, they established a small flock and began an up-breed program using 7 different base breeds of sheep.

After a decade of putting their heart and soul into making their dream a reality, they now successfully manage a large “purebred” flock. The Ahlseen’s farm is a humane no-kill, and the animals here are raised and kept strictly for their fiber. The Ahlseens offer breeding stock, fiber and locally milled yarn and other farm products from their “Stuga,” or “little house” farm shop in addition to authentic Swedish imports.

They happily open their farm to visitors for Farm Tours upon request. Like-minded individuals who share their mindset and love for the breed have the opportunity to purchase their sheep.
